The Native Hawaiian Legal Corporation (NHLC) will conduct an informative workshop Tuesday evening, October 20, from 5 to 9 PM at Island School’s Frear Center. Serving as panelist will be NHLC’s Attorneys Alan Murakami, David Frankel and Moses Haia.
There are three ongoing court cases that have highlighted problems within the Kauai Planning Department and the State Historic Preservation Division relating to our culture and wahi pana. These cases are Wainiha (Naue), Waipouli, and Koloa. Another case is presently being prepared for filing because of problems at Wailua. The panel will provide brief updates regarding the status of these pending cases.
